Conventional Speakers

Conventional Speakers For lack of a better term, this covers all the basic “box-type” speakers. Some are large and sit on the floor. Others are small enough for a shelf. With them all, a separate speaker is needed for each “channel” of sound. Two-channel stereo needs two speakers. Five-channel surround sound requires five. And so on. Some of our best sounding speakers are in this category. Why? They’ve been on the market for a long time and a lot of technology has been devoted to them.
